Lara Foldvari has been dancing for almost 55 years! She began her training in classical ballet at The Boston Ballet, followed by The New Haven Ballet (nee The Connecticut Ballet).

Lara is an internationally certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor through ACE, the American Council on Exercise; and was a Master Barre Instructor with IBBFA, the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association.
She is also Barre & Soul Academy certified in the American Lotte Berk barre method and Pure Lotte, CoreBarreFit trained with Elisabeth Halfpapp (through Barre Intensity), Barre Intensity, American Barre Technique (ABT) and Barre Above (L2) certified. Lara is also certified by the Physique 57 Barre Academy, The Dailey Method, and is certified in the ORIGINAL barre class by theLONDONmethod, approved by Esther Fairfax (Lotte Berk's daughter).
She is a Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher, is trained in the Vaganova Method Syllabus of ballet, and is Ballerobica® certified. Lara has completed her Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training Certification through YogaRenew, and was registered with Yoga Alliance. Her Pilates Mat certification is through AFPA. She is also trained in Aqua Barre through SCW. At any given time, she is probably going through another training. Currently she is working on Essentrics ®️ and Callanetics ®️ certifications.
Lara is the founder and President of the Barre Fitness Alliance.

She is also certified by the American Heart Association in First Aid & CPR/AED, and is insured.
Lara opened The BOG (Barre Over Garage now Barre On the Go) in 2020 as a safe place for her long-time students to return to after studios were closed due to COVID-19. Every class is also livestreamed, so you can attend from the comfort of your own home. Subscriptions to our Content Library of (800+!) videos on demand are also available.

YoLarates™ is a blend of yoga, Pilates and ballet barre movements. The class starts with a warm-up of basic poses from yoga and ballet, followed by sun and moon salutations. After upper body work with light weights, we then move to the ballet barre portion of class, using a small squishy ball. The class continues onto the floor for a little more leg & glutes work before concentrating on Pilates abs exercises. A cool-down and stretch complete the class.
YoLarates™ will strengthen and tone your entire body, especially your core, buttocks, arms, and legs. You will also become more flexible, and more balanced, both physically and mentally.
All levels are welcome and encouraged to join us! Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. YoLarates™ can be done in sticky socks or bare feet. Dress comfortably (think yoga/workout wear).
